This HEADCHECK APP will assist in assessing a child’s head injury.

🤕PKJFC requires ALL coaches, Team Managers and Team First Aiders to Download the App HEADCHECK to assist with an assessment on game days!
😨Parents are encouraged to utilise the App to assist with monitoring your child after a game, as some symptoms may arise later.

🤕PKJFC have a very strict policy regarding the return to play following a concussion.

No child is allowed to resume play for a minimum of 2 weeks (longer if a medical practitioner advises) after a concussion and a written medical clearance provided by a medical practitioner must be produced before a child will be allowed to resume.

The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute together with the AFL has developed an App that may assist coaches, team managers, first responders and parents to determine if a child’s knock to the head requires further medical examination.
